Dr. Moopen has built an organization with a turnover of US$125 million (Rs. 500 Crore) on high ethical and moral standards, employing about 3500 people in India and the Middle East. He has been instrumental in producing reverse brain drain of healthcare professionals to India from abroad, by providing them with a platform for professional participation by establishing the state of the art MIMS Hospital. His passion for serving the public blended with leadership qualities and propelled him to the forefront of several social organizations, many of which were founded by him.

Dr. Azad Moopen’s commitment to help the underprivileged has contributed to the well being of thousands of needy people. Through innovative initiatives like the Rural Health Centre at Vazhayoor Panchayat. He has helped to address the healthcare needs of about 7,000 people below the poverty line.
