- 1982 :
Started his career as a lecturer in the General Medicine Department
of the Government Medical College, Calicut, India. He was recognized
as one of the most popular medical teachers and respected as a
highly committed doctor.
- 1987 :
While
on a trip to Dubai to help a charitable cause, well wishers
requested him to settle down in the UAE and provide quality
healthcare services for the people there.
- 1987 :
Started Al Rafa Poly Clinic in Bur Dubai, as a One-Doctor Clinic
which is now popular, as the most trusted multi-specialty
neighborhood family clinic in Dubai, UAE.
- 1995 :
Established a network of medical centres and pharmacies bringing
healthcare closer to the door- steps of millions of people.
- 2001 :
Started Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences Ltd. (MIMS), Calicut,
the leading Tertiary Care Referral Hospital in North Kerala, with
600 beds capacity. MIMS is now adding many satellite hospitals ,
with one at Kottakkal, scheduled for inauguration soon.
- 2002 :
Formed Dr. Moopen’s Healthcare Management Services LLC., at Dubai,
to evolve the corporate management structure.
- 2003 :
Extended the operations to other GCC countries and introduced the
concept of branded pharmacies and medical centers known as MEDSHOP
and MEDCENTRE.
- 2005 :
Started Al Rafa Hospital, a Maternity & Surgical Specialty Hospital
at Mankool, Bur Dubai, UAE.
- 2006 :
Established EuroHealth Systems at Dubai Healthcare City for
providing turnkey consultancy and management solutions to Healthcare
Projects.
- 2006 :
Started the reputed MEDCARE Hospital at Jumeirah which has today
become a premium facility in Dubai, with 60 beds which is being
expanded to 100 beds.
- 2007 :
Expanded operations to other GCC Countries and India through a
network of hospitals.
- 2009 :
Presently in the process of meeting his vision of 100 medical establishments, which include twelve hospitals, "MEDCENTREs" and "MEDSHOPs" at various neighbourhoods in the GCC countries and India. Two hospitals in Oman at Muscat and Sohar, one hospital in Riyadh, one hospital in Manama-Bahrain, and three hospitals in India are at different phases of project completions and expected to be delivered to community soon.
Established three international schools in Saudi Arabia (Al Yasmin Int'l school, Riyadh, Al Wurood Int'l School Jeddah and al Khozama Int;l school , Dammam) in the capacity of the vice chairman under PeeVees management, and acts as the advisor for the PeeVees Residential School in Nilambur.Also is the Chairman of a project in the process of establishing a large scale residential school with NRI investors in an upcoming Educational Campus of SAFI Institute of Advanced Studies , Kerala.
